Bubble Gum

 I realized this week that I miss skirts.  Quite a bit.  So I wore one two days in a row.
Last time I wore this skirt was back in spring (see it here) and it made me happy all over again.
And let me tell you, I could live in the sweatshirt.  Makes me bubble gum happy.

I was reading in Proverbs this week and this verse hit me :
"Get wisdom, get insight; do not forget" (4:5)
It really made me think on the past year and a half in Milwaukee and the things Kellen and I have been through and how I still occasionally doubt that the Lord will provide at times.  If I had any wisdom at all, any insight at all, I would realize that this doubt isn't even legit.  If I just wouldn't forget all that's happened...  What blows my mind is how the Lord just blesses us and blows our minds even when we're so silly and doubt and freak out.  What a Guy.

  3. Such a fun and beautiful skirt!! I just bought a polka dot one from F21, and can't wait to wear it. I've realized that in the winter I tend to wear more trousers, so I am trying to purchase more winter skirts and dresses! They are just so much more fun! I love the bubble gum sweater too .. looks super comfy!

  4. I miss wearing skirts too! It's just been too cold for me to even double up on tights or leggings like I usually do, but hopefully it looks like it's going to get a liiiittle bit warmer in the next few days, I'll have to brave it for the sake of cute! This skirt is adorable!

  18. ok well, i'm pretty much blown away with this outfit. i have a skirt similar to yours and i was absolutely stumped on how to style it. it kept looking too mini mouse for my taste, but i think that's because i was tucking my sweaters in. i'm totally gonna try it your way so thaaaank you for the idea. and that sweater with it is SO cute. Also, i like how you styled it in spring- i always like how dots and stripes look together.

    and i kinda needed that quote you ran across. i'm taking big scary steps in the next month what with traveling and quitting my job, and i sometimes get scared on how i'll land on my feet. i'd like to trust that God has me in his hands.
